Ensemble Program
Our pre-professional program is for dancers who have dreams of dancing after high school in a professional setting. This program requires more of a time and work investment than our normal Crown Classes. These students also have a higher expectation placed on them regarding leadership in the ministry. These students have extra performing opportunities and are chosen as soloists in our productions. Detailed below are the specifics for this program:

Crystal Level 1
Mini Ensemble Ages 8-9
Welcome to Crystal Level 1 at Crown Dance Studios, where aspiring dancers aged 8 join the Ensemble Program. At this pivotal stage, students engage in focused and serious ballet training, attending two mandatory ballet classes per week that lay the foundation for proper ballet technique. Complementing their ballet studies, dancers are also required to participate in a jazz class, ensuring a well-rounded development in their dance journey. For those eager to broaden their skills, we offer optional Tap, Mini Hop and Acro classes. Under the expert guidance of our passionate instructors, students in Level 1: Crystal will cultivate discipline, hone their technique, and express their creativity.


Turquoise Level 2
Mini Ensemble Ages 9-10
Welcome to Level 2: Turquoise at Crown Dance Studios, where dedicated dancers continue their journey in the Ensemble Program. At this advanced stage, students build on their solid ballet foundation, attending two mandatory ballet classes per week that focus on refining their technique and expanding their skills. In addition to ballet, dancers are required to take a jazz class, enhancing their versatility and performance ability. To further challenge themselves, students may also choose from optional Tap, Mini Hop, and Acro classes. Guided by our expert instructors, students in Level 2: Turquoise will deepen their technical precision, elevate their performance artistry, and continue to foster their creativity and discipline in a supportive, dynamic environment.
Amethyst Level 3
Intermediate Ensemble Ages 10+
Welcome to Level 3: Amethyst at Crown Dance Studios, where committed dancers take their skills to the next level in the Ensemble Program. At this stage, students intensify their training with three mandatory ballet technique classes per week, pre-pointe, and jazz, to further enhance their strength, flexibility, and artistry. The pre-pointe class prepares dancers for the transition to en pointe, while the jazz class deepens their performance abilities and versatility. Students may also choose to take optional Tap, Mini Hop, and Acro classes to diversify their skills. With the guidance of our skilled instructors, dancers in Level 3: Amethyst will refine their technique, build strength and stamina, and continue to explore their creativity in a focused, disciplined environment.


Ruby Level 4
Intermediate Ensemble Ages 11+
Welcome to Level 4: Ruby at Crown Dance Studios, where dedicated dancers continue their journey with increased focus, artistry, and technical growth in the Ensemble Program. In this level, students commit to three required ballet technique classes per week, along with pre-pointe or pointe, jazz, and a new addition—contemporary dance, which encourages expressive movement and emotional storytelling. A dedicated conditioning class further supports their physical development, helping dancers build core strength, alignment, and injury prevention. Optional classes in Tap, and Acro remain available to broaden their range. With a well-rounded curriculum and expert instruction, Level 4: Ruby dancers deepen their discipline, sharpen their technique, and flourish as confident, versatile performers.
Sapphire Level 5
Advanced Ensemble Ages 12+
Welcome to Level 5: Sapphire at Crown Dance Studios, where dancers embrace a new level of commitment, refinement, and artistic depth within the Ensemble Program. This level marks a pivotal point in a dancer’s journey, with four required ballet technique classes per week, allowing for more individualized coaching, advanced technical work, and the continued development of expressive artistry. Pointe training becomes more intensive, focusing on strength, endurance, and precision, while jazz and contemporary classes further challenge dancers’ versatility and emotional range. A dedicated conditioning class remains an essential part of the curriculum, supporting alignment, injury prevention, and overall strength. Optional classes in Tap and Acro continue to offer opportunities for creative exploration and cross-training.


Emerald Level 6
Pre-Pro Ensemble Ages 13+
Welcome to Level 6: Emerald at Crown Dance Studios, the pinnacle of our Ensemble Program, where dedicated dancers step into their roles as pre-professionals. This elite level is designed for students who are preparing to major in dance, pursue professional careers, or begin teaching within the art form they love. Dancers in Level 6 commit to an intensive schedule of ballet, pointe, contemporary, jazz, and conditioning, with a strong emphasis on refined technique, artistic maturity, and performance readiness. Ballet classes focus on advanced vocabulary, musicality, and personal artistry, while pointe training sharpens strength, stamina, and fluidity. Contemporary and jazz demand versatility and dynamic expression, supporting dancers in becoming compelling, well-rounded performers. With opportunities to assist in classes, mentor younger students, and explore choreography, Level 6: Emerald dancers grow not only as artists, but as leaders. Optional classes in Tap and Acro remain available for those who wish to expand their versatility even further.
